The Franciscan Foundation, Tacoma, WA, received a Mission and Ministry Fund project grant of $89,135 for a community program designed to help terminally ill individuals from all ethnic and racial backgrounds in the community access quality, culturally sensitive end-of-life care. The Mission and Ministry Fund Advisory Committee awarded approximately $2.8 million for three categories of grants in 2009 -- 17 project grants, three planning grants and 14 violence-prevention grants.
