Catholic Health Initiatives was the first national health care system to win the National Quality Health Care Award in 2001.  The award, sponsored by the National Committee for Quality Health Care and Modern Healthcare magazine, recognizes health care providers that demonstrate high quality performance and innovative leadership.

The National Quality Health Care Award recognizes the organization’s multifaceted approach to quality.  This approach includes performance management, outcomes reporting, clinical competency measurement and the promotion of healthy communities.
